If someone asks you for a date, once only, is avoiding them after you decline a little drastic, immature or normal?

I guess if she felt uncomfortable in the situation then her natural response would be to avoid.

Well now, that all depends on the individual asking for the date...if he comes across as threatening and vengeful then no, it doesn't seem drastic, abnormal or immature...but sometimes the guy asking is creepy to begin with and the rejection can only make him worse. No means no and the mature, normal guy will have sense enough to know that and move on...

i wouldn't say its Immature its normal it really just depends on the person if there all nice and friendly then u shouldn't avoid them....unless there all psycho like the others say...but avoiding the person when they ask u for a date i don't think thats gonna solve anything at all .You should just go on with your normal life maybe even explain it in a non harsh way why you decline so u and that person can move on with yalls lives. mabye something like does it seem like ive been avoiding ? or im sorry that it seems like ive been avoiding you.

yeah, that is drastic. If you don't like the girl you should set her straight and let her know how you feel. Because if you haven't told her that yet,she might think that you like her and that's right. but, after you tell her,you should still try and be friends with her. Like if you pass by her, make sure you say hello or something. Good luck!

It's a little drastic and immature, yes, unless yo are worried this person is a psycho or something.

Immature. Just because you aren't interested in them doesn't mean you have to avoid them.
It's like kicking someone while they're down. Rejecting them, then being a jerk and avoiding them? So not cool.

women do it to me, I find it amusing. They later turn out to be either shallow or materialistic... as well as immature..

I only ask once, if they say no I leave it at that. I don't feel awkward, not like I proposed marriage or anything.

if someone asks you out, take it as a compliment even if you don't like them, least they bothered to ask.

as for avoiding em after, thats lame.. weak and ignorant.

No, if you feel uncomfortable seeing that person, I don't think it's immature. Just go with your gut feeling. You know your own boundaries, if you need to avoid that person so be it. That should get the message across, too.

it's a little immature. Avoiding that person is like playing the ostritch.

when an ostritch sees a problem(a predator), it buries its head in the sand thinking that since it can't see the problem, the problem doesn't exist.
