I always take the wine, the beer, the ice and a sack of sugar for sweet tea. I also fill a pumpkin with a nice malty beer the day before that we all drink while we stand around while sampling. I also help skin the pumpkin for soup make with the turkey remains, potatoes and onions.

Why shouldnt you help her
I think that helping your mom with the Thanksgiving meal would be a wonderful way to show her that you love her and appriciate everything she,s done for you

say yes. its tons of work to make a huge thanksgiving day meal, and your mom probably doesn't want to spend all her time in the kitchen when she could be spending it with family. i have to help my mom out, and its not so bad. just do it! she's gonna have to cook more on christmas anyway, so give her a hand.

Unless you have a really good reason, like you will be out of town or your mom or someone else who will be there is a really psycho personality, then you should help her make the dinner!

GOSH YES MOM...THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN AND I NEED TO LEARN HOW THIS THANKSGIVING COOKING IS DONE.
Don't know how old you are, but you need to be helping and do it with a smile on your face and warmth in your heart.
Someday, Mom won't be there to do it and you won't have any idea what to do.
