How do I start selling my art?

I want to sell some of my art....because people said I should. Should I make prints and sell those? I don't know where to start.

you should make prints and originals. sell the prints for a about 10-17 dollars cheaper than the original depending on the artwork. calculate how much it cost you to do the piece and put it about10 percent higher than that. you can also sell it at the anime convention. there's always people there who want good prints. or you could sell it at your school, or on your own website. if you can't do that try selling it to an art store that will be willing to buy it and if you just want a simpler way just sell it on ebay.

if you want to sell online, try etsy.com or deviantart.com
Deviatnart has a feature where you can sell prints for a predetermined price. It goes through deviantART so you don't really need to do any work.
You could also get an account on livejournal.com where you could show off your art and join different art communities and advertise your art.
Etsy.com is sort of like ebay but only for home made crafts.
Oh and you could set up an account on ebay, too.

Or if you want to sell in the real world, try getting booths are different festivals or art fairs. If there's a church/school/town fair in your town every year, trying getting a booth there as well. You won't make much at first but once you get your art out there and people see your talent, you'll start making a profit.

If you want to make prints, go to Staples or Kinko's. They have a color copier you can use to make prints or cards. It's pretty easy & they can adjust the color to match your original.
