Apprx 20 minutes per pound get it to a high enough temperature (cooked from thawed) but it is more tender if you cook a little longer at a low temperature. I cook mine at 325 desired time, and center is 170 degrees. then I turn down to 250 and leave in the roaster until we are ready to eat.
I also cook my turkeys breast side down and I get a more juice and tasty turkey. but not pretty.

seek for turkeys! merely kidding! in my opinion i like to take a yelper and an owl hooter, crawl and do greater listening than something. An occasional "scratch" on the slate or some "hoots" will in lots of situations illicit responses from turkeys. do merely not attempt to get too close or positioned any rigidity on them.

don't look too long or you won't want to kill and eat it. My turkey cooked 5.5 hrs. in a roaster and it's 22 lbs., cooked it a day early.

I haven't looked a turkey for several years, now. Since my plastic surgery I actually look quite human. (Gobble Gobble) I do have to take voice lessons, though. (Gobble)
