on snapping turtles i think it is the number of spikes they have on the tip/top of their shell..but that is only for snapping turtles. i'm not sure what kind of turtle you have, but i'm sure it is possible.

Not really. I mean, if the turtle is tiny, like.. less than 2 inches long, it's probably less than 6 months old. But other than that, it's kind of impossible to tell if you didn't raise the turtle yourself because some people will feed the turtle more and it will grow faster, some people feed it less and it grows slower, to the point where you can actually have a 2 year old turtle and a 9 month old turtle who are the same size. Also if the turtle grew up in the wild, those don't grow as fast as a captive turtle would usually, but then at the same time it depends on what food the turtle had available to eat.

Not accurately. You can count the rings on the belly scales and use that... but they add rings faster than 1 a year, so it really does not do a good job.

You can try length/weight growth charts, but you will quickly see that they are too variable to be really helpful either.

We usually don't worry about age and go by size for most things anyway.

i'm no longer confident you are able to by searching at it all of them advance at diverse rates. i have regular those who get 2 turtle jointly, of an similar length, save them interior an similar habatat, feed them an similar nutrition, and finally end up with 2 very diverse sized turtles interior of a few months. i imagine they'd advance at a extra favourite fee if raised in proper situations yet few captive turtles are.
