Evidently the dvd drive for the 360 didn't have sufficient lens protection and the dvd doesn't stay stable. Check your game disc, if it is scratched then it's the dvd drive. If your disc is scratched there is a class action suit against Microsoft investigation going on. It was filed in June of 2007. The link to the firm handling one of the suits is.

You might want to get an intercooler for it because before i had one it would freeze up ALL THE TIME and it made a wired vibrate noise too so thats probably your problem.

You have to be more specific. Do you mean the HD DVD drive you attach to it or the player on the console. If it's on the console, make sure that your console is being laid flat down, not vertical, when it is vertical it will scratch your disks and can lead to other problems. If the noise persists then call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they will tel you everything you want to know.

I had a similar problem but it only occurs with specific disks. It doesn't seem to effect the system's performance

Happens with all consoles, dont worry. Its the same thing as your computer reading a cd.

I would get a inter-cooler, there not that expensive. All 360's sound like vacuums.
