"Racist"? Is that a reference to nationalities again?
Anyway, as to your question: I am not French, but I have so many ancestors who were. About a 1,000 years ago, one generation the man was French, the wife Spanish; the next generation the man was Spanish, the wife French.
My Mom's ancestry is Welch. Of course, French, Spanish, German, Netherlands, Belgium, Greenland, Norway...Well, all over Europe, the Middle East, Egypt, Morroco, South Africa...
I am not appalled; I am proud to be a "Heinz 57" (actuall quite a few more).

RU American?
You need to go back over 1000 years to find the Norman (there was no such country as France) influence on English society.

Using the same time scale where do you come from? Probably England, but if not then Europe, maybe even France.

Sorry, other than idiotic, your question was?

When I heard that the Norman's came over & went to South Wales - I thought that was OK.

But when I later heard that the frenchies that went to the bit of S. Wales MY family came from arrived a LOT later - well - that was different!!!

Er - what was the question again?

I woke up and realised I had a nightmare....only joking, the French are beautiful I think, so for me it wouldn't be a problem.

I think I have maybe a TINY bit of French in me. More ashamed of being German, though, if we're all being honest with each other.
