My water broke 3 weeks ago, i am 32 weeks pregnant and the doctor wants me to go as long as i can. But no further then 36 weeks which means we would be in the hospital for christmas. I could go at anyt ime tho because my water has broke. The doc did say that if i did go in labour they wouldnt stop me and said they would not have any concerns because the babies lungs and organs are fully developed. He is perfectly healthy and very active(happy) So what's stopping them from giving me my section? How come they cant speed this up? I am loosing my mind in this hospital. What can i do to get this thing started?

Do you mean that you had the bloody show three weeks ago? Once your water breaks, you automatically go into labor. But to answer your question, there are a few things that a lot of people will suggest. Some say orgasms bring on the labor, some say raspberry tea, etc. Good luck to you!

are you on hospital bedrest or are you able to get up and move around??

If you can get up and walk around then do that! walking can use gravity to help bring the baby down and hopefully help him engage and start labour. sex wouldn't be advisable if your water has broken (even if its just the hindwaters not amniotic sac waters) as this can cause infection.

at 32 weeks though your baby is much better off inside you then out here where his immature body may not be able to cope quite as well. I'm assuming that your doc gave you steriods to mature the lungs in case of early labour but still, try and hold off for at least the next 3-4 weeks because it will mean a much healthier and well baby to take home quicker.

Best of luck and hang in there! It'll be over before you know it

Your water broke 3 weeks ago? That doesn't make any sense. Once the water breaks they have to deliver the baby.

i think you need to speak to your doctor because once your water breaks they have to take the baby out within 24 hours due to very high risk of infection. your baby could die if they don't

Your baby is still not ready to be born yet. I won't advise you what to do to start labour.
