The first thing to do is have a load test done on the battery! This will tell you if the battery is failing! If the battery is good, have the alternator checked. If both of these check out OK, you have something that is drawing the battery down! It could be a light in the trunk, under the hood or in the glove box. You may also have a short in the wiring, but that is doubtful. My bet would be either a bad battery or a bad alternator!

If your battery is suspected, go to Advance Auto Parts, or AutoZone...They can load test it to see if it's ok. A weak cell in the battery can cause the symptoms you describe. If it passes the load test, then have the alternator checked. The two auto part stores can check it too but you'll have to remove it from the car first. It doesn't sound like a starter to me because it will start when you jump it. Batteries will only last around 4 to 5 years maximum.

Have the battery tested, preferrably by a mechanic who doesn't sell batteries.
If that doesn't work, some of the other suggestions may apply.

best and easiest way to find out what is wrong without guessing is to take it to autozone or a parts store and have them check your charging system for you, your alternator could be bad and not charging up your battery ir your battery itself could be bad.

there may be a short in your system, a loose wire, or check to make sure any little lights (when its dark) are not draining your battery.
