the measure of the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle is 76 degrees. find the measure of the base angle?

how would you do this?

also help with this equation?

solve for x: 2/5x - 7= -3

The vertex angle is 76°. The other two angles are equal (because it is an isoceles triangle). All the angles add up to 180°.

76° + x + x = 180°
76° + 2x = 180°
2x = 104°
x = 52°

PROBLEM 2:

(2/5)x - 7 = -3

Add 7 to both sides:
(2/5)x = 4

Multiply both sides by 5/2 (reciprocal):
x = 4(5/2)
x = 20/2
x = 10
