The vertex angle is 76°. The other two angles are equal (because it is an isoceles triangle). All the angles add up to 180°.

76° + x + x = 180°
76° + 2x = 180°
2x = 104°
x = 52°

PROBLEM 2:

(2/5)x - 7 = -3

Add 7 to both sides:
(2/5)x = 4

Multiply both sides by 5/2 (reciprocal):
x = 4(5/2)
x = 20/2
x = 10
