True he was a racist and a cheat. I can guarantee you if steroids were around when he played he would have used them
One good note about how Ty mellowed out in his later years. In the late 50's & early 60's he would go to Cubs spring training games & help with base running. One young Cub back then he help with extra work was Lou Brock. Stil doesnt make up for all the other hatred he had.

Actually, my great-grandmother (now deceased, died at age 101) babysat Ty Cobb's children.
Why did I get a thumbs down?
She actually did, she died in 2001 at age 101.
