Yes. In addition to having a very small chance of winning the Big 12, Texas could be chosen as an at large team if Oklahoma wins the Big 12 as well. Texas is ranked high enough to be eligible for a BCS bid as an at large team, and a bowl might choose Texas over either Kansas or Missouri, even though both of those teams would be ranked higher. The key is that after the National Championship matchup is decided and the conference champions get assigned to the bowls, then a BCS bowl might think they can sell more tickets or get better TV ratings by inviting Texas instead of Kansas or Missouri, who would (if OU wins the Big 12) no longer be ranked in the top 6 and thus not guaranteed a BCS bid.
I don't think it will happen. I think the Big 12 BCS teams will most likely be Oklahoma and the winner of the Kansas Missouri game this week. But, as strange as this season has been, I'm half expecting Oklahoma State to win the Big 12 at this point (and yes, they would win the South if they win and Texas loses to A&M).

Yes. Oklahoma has to lose the Bedlam game against Oklahoma State, Texas has to beat Texas A&M and then also beat either Mizzou or Kansas in the Big 12 Championship game. I don't see them getting an at large bid like the other poster said. Texas would have to either lose the Texas A&M game or the Big 12 Championship game to be eligible for an at large bid. The problem is that only 2 teams from any conference can recieve a BCS bid. The Big 12 Champs would obviously take one of those bids. Texas probably wouldn't recieve a bid because after losing one more game because either KU or Mizzou would be ranked higher than Texas and would get the at large bid.

Your hearing frustration over a corrupt system. A lot of money is at stake with these games and teams in the NCAA who go undefeated will never. I repeat never have a chance to win a championship as long as you have the dreary little despot BCS running the show with interference being run by ESPN, I mean SECPN.

they have a slight chance if oklahoma looses this weekend and they could end up in the big 12 championship game. and if they win that than they would get an automatic bid

They pretty much need to win the Big XII, which means they need OSU to beat Oklahoma. Due to the Big XII tiebreaker, Texas doesn't need to beat A&M as long as OU loses to get into the title game (Longhorns win the three-way tiebreaker with OSU and OU, due to beating Texas Tech and OSU earlier in the season).

They could get an at-large bid because they are better than many teams ranked ahead of them.
