I'm just going to assume you're a teenager...that's what it seems like...so I suggest the Gossip Girl series, Ask Alice, It happened to Nancy, etc. Oh dude...a really really interesting book is Crank by Ellen Hopkins. It's about a teenage girl who is addicted to meth but the cool thing is that the whole book is written in poem form. Good luck on finding a book to read! :)

Anne McCaffrey's Dragon books might suit - Dragonsong, Dragonsinger, etc etc. Lord of the Rigs, obviously, or The Hobbit. You could also try Susan Cooper's Over Sea Under Stone series or even Ursual K LeGuin's Wizard Of Earthsea trilogy. Have you tried C.S. Lewis' Narnia books? Hope this helps

OK, so you read all 7 Harry Potter books. Having read all 7, you must have liked them. Also, you are logged in as "Mrs." so I assume you are not a child. Based solely on these assumptions, I would recommend the following books in no particular order:
The Magic of Recluce, by L.E. Modesitt, Jr.
The Demon Awakens, by R.A. Salvatore
The Sword of Shannara, by Terry Brooks
The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien
White Gold Weilder, by Stephen R. Donaldson (though a bit on the dark, depressing side)
The Diamond Throne, by David Eddings
Magician, by Raymond E. Feist
These are all either prequels or book one of series...and there are many more I could recommend, but at least one of these should appeal to you depending on what it is that attracted you to the Harry Potter books.
David Eddings actually co-wrote most of his books with his wife, so their stuff has a good perspective from both a male and female side. Their female characters are not wimpy push-overs. You may want to check their stuff out first.
Plug the authors names into Amazon.com and see the other books that they wrote.
P.S. BARB said Canticle for Leibowitz - LOVE it! Walter M. Miller is the author. On this note...
Anthem, by Ayn Rand
Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka
Ecotopia, by Ernest Callenbach

If you like reading non-fiction, about what goes on nowadays - I recommend these two -
1) "Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader"
written by Bradley K. Martin
2) "Rogue Regime"
written by Jasper Becker
These two well-written books give an insight about the North Korean Government.
Fiction?
Try all the books written by Clive Cussler.
The hero is Dirk Pitt, with his sidekick Al Giordino. These are well-written.

It depends entirely on your tastes.
For young adult, you may enjoy The Princess Diary (series) by Meg Cabot, The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series by Ann Brashares, The Clique Series by Lisi Harrison, or The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
You may enjoy The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, Stardust by Neil Gaimon, The Princess Bride by William Goldman or The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
If you want to read some classic fantasy, you may enjoy The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien or The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis (starting with the first book of the series that Lewis wrote: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe).
If you want to read some other classics, I would suggest Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (or any of her books), Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens (or any of his) or Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray.
If you enjoy horror, unusual or Gothic, I suggest Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Dracula by Bram Stoker or any of Stephen King's or Dean Koontz's novels.
I would also recommend the books of Rosamunde Pilcher like The Shell Seekers, September or any others.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
