I am curious to know what is the most common crab species in the USA. Any answers will be greatly appreciated!

There is a (Polynesian, i think) red land crab that absolutely litters the ground on it's way to breed in the lapping waves. Millions and millions.

Dungeness, Blue, Alaskan King and Fiddler are species that come to mind, but there are many others and also several that are not true crabs. Dungeness crab are the most common in CA for eating and the Shore Crab is also abundant on the coast.
