Growing up, it was a late lunch because we always had a HUGE turkey that took, like, 12 hours to cook. Then the adults would sit and talk about boring stuff, and the kids would play, and after a couple hours, we had room for desert. A couple hours after that, while boxing stuff up for people to take home, of course you have to "sample" some more. Now it's a late lunch because I have to work until noon, but I still don't have to cook. Yay!!
