Well, the 2004 World Series was the ultimate happy ending, couldn't really ask for better... but for dramatic baseball it wasn't that gripping.
Most fun? The 1999 ALDS between Boston and Cleveland. The Indians beat Pedro in the opener -- and put a scare into the Nation as Pedro's shoulder went tender -- and they struck again in Game 2, an 11-1 laugher. So, quickly, down 0-2, and the sense of inevitability and "here we go again" was palpable. But Pedro came back in Game 3 and made an easy win, starting to set things to rights, now trailing 1-2. And then came Game 4.
Game 4, the Boston artillery barrage. When the dust had settled, the Sox had piled on for a 23-7 demolition victory -- the highest score (by one and by both teams) in postseason history. It was SUCH a humiliation of the Indians that I didn't care how Game 5 turned out! This game paid for all.
And then Game 5, a knock-down drag-out affair, 8-7 (Cleveland) by the end of the third -- and Pedro, mighty Pedro, emerged from the bullpen and delivered six strong, scoreless, HITLESS innings. The Indians melted before His Pedroness, the Red Sox scored some more, and with a 12-8 win on the road, they advanced to the ALCS.
Where a clearly superior (no doubt about it) Yankees team, and some of the worst officiating ever seen, ended the Boston season. Ah well; just getting that far was a triumph.
Games 4 and 5 were simply amazing, and Pedro Martinez was at the peak of his awesome skills. Deep, thick, fun baseball.

This years postseason was boring, and I did not get too interested in it. There are two that I thought were great in recent memory:
1995 ALDS:Mariners vs. Yankees. Who could forget "The Double" hit by Edgar Martinez to drive in Ken Griffey,Jr? Griffey hustling around the bases and a slide for home to beat the throw, and the team celebrates. That was a classic way to beat the Yankees in the postseason.
2004 ALCS: Red Sox vs. Yankees. Who loves the fact the Yankees are the first team to lose a series up 3-0? There is not a work I could use to describe that. Payback is a ***** for Bucky ***kin Dent and Aaron ***ing Boone, huh?

Last year Tigers vs Yankees 2006 was my favorite. No one gave Detroit a chance. It was the only time I remember the Tigers in the playoffs, I was way too young to remember the last playoff years in the 80's. I will never forget the whole team carrying Jim Leyland off the field and then when they came back out and showered showered the crowd in champagne! I will always remember Kenny Rogers standing on top of the dug out giving a champagne bath to a cop, priceless!!!

1991 Twins-Braves and 2001 Yankees-D'Backs World Series. I am not a fan of any of those teams, but as a baseball fan I loved them both. Both series had a little bit of everything and were very entertaining to watch.

i liked this years' postseason, because not only did my favorite team get in (Phillies, I know they lost in 3), but there were NEW teams that made it AKA the rockies and the indians, and even went to the end of the series
