Indeed, Croatia had nothing to play for, yet came to Wembley, and played with real determination. They showed us how to keep the ball, and even though we pulled two goals back, they also showed character to go ahead and still win the game. They have been the best team in the group and deserve to go through.

Of course if we are honest we give credit to Croatia.Every time they went forward they looked menacing and most of all they wanted to win. Englands downfall though goes back before tonights game,to the games they lost , or only drew along the way ,.especially at home.They should have tied up their qualification months ago and not been in the position they were for the last few games.I am disappointed but will still watch the Euro cup and at least for a change won't have to sit biting my nails watching England put us through so much misery again. At least not until the World cup !

Croatia played with heart, and as a team. England should watch and learn.
On the up side, at least a load of trees will be saved next summer when the papers don't have to produce all those Euro '08 pull-out sections and wall-charts!

Croatia came to win and fair play to them cos that's what it's all about.Someone should tell the England team.

As Bilic said after the game, we were beaten by a better team, plain and simple. They kept possession better, passed more accurately, counter attacked more effectively, defended more intelligently, and generally wanted the result more.
We got what we deserved, and Croatia were worthy winners. I'm English and ashamed of how poor our team is, and the lack of effort by our players. Gerrard in particular was just abysmal.

The way Croatia celebrated after winning you'd think that somebody somewhere had offered them a huge stack of cash to win this game! (But it probably still isn't as much as the Engalnd players get for losing!)

Croatia were so much better than England that it was shocking. We were completely outplayed from start to finish.

i'm scottish but croatia played a very good game. they got off to a good start, held the ball well, passed it well and didn't deserve to lose. england fans can't deny this. they were lucky enough to get to the last game with their fate in their own hands.
