Call the people who put flamingos in your lawn. They do it for peoples birthdays. It's a great prank, but it leaves the lawn looking like it had the chicken pox.

You can by an aerator, or you can buy these things that go over shoes so you can walk around and poke the holes.

Get some golf shoes...you know, the kind with the spikes?..Put em on yer kids, and chase em around with the lawn mower!

They sell special sandals with long spikes you can strap onto your shoes for that purpose. But they will drive you crazy. I would just hire a lawn service to come over and do it. We do all our own mowing, leaf blowing, snow blowing, etc.

You can buy clamp on aeration spikes just for that purpose. They clamp onto the bottoms of your shoe and you stomp around your yard. You look pretty stupid out there and the neighbors laugh but it gets the job done.
