Ok so im 37wk 4d and had my appt today and The baby is engaged, im a "loose" 1cm 90% effaced...2days ago i was "Barely"1cm and 50% effaced, 4 days before that i was a "fingertip" and 50% effaced... Do you think at this rate i will deliver soon (In your opinion.. yes i know you really cant tell but i want to see what you think) Also my main thing i wanted to ask was.. what happens when you get to 100% effaced? Do you just start to dialate then?

I was 1 cm and 90% effaced and my doctor said I wasn't going into labor any time soon but that night I had contractions close together and went to the hospital. They said I was 100% and 1 cm but they wanted to send me home. I begged to stay and walked around for 2 hours until I finally got to 3 cm and then I was in full labor. Every one is different. Start walking! Good luck!

Hey,
I think at 100% effaced you just dialate. I was 1 centimetre dialated and gave birth the next week but at the rate you are going you never know .

I think it could still be a week maybe longer because you have not dilated much, and first time babies usually take longer. but who knows

it takes a while.... it does it slowly...
