Actually, in most locales, with the price of gas, oil and kerosene being what it is, (in my area, kero is over 3.50/gal.), it's either as economical or more so, to buy a decent size electric heater and use that. I operate a small shop buiding outside my home, where I repair kerosene heaters and vacuums, small appliances, etc. I've heated it with kerosene for years, till last year. I found a small electric wall furnace that runs on 220 volts, is quite efficient and heats the building more effectively on less money for the extra electricity than I was spending each month for kerosene. I feel better too, not near as much congestion in my lungs.

if you buy cheap kerosene then your home will stink
if the wick runs dry it will burn and stick to the heater and be a mess to replace. You will not like kerosene unless you live in a cabin or tepee
my opinion

Google can help you.
Type in Monitor Direct vent or Laser direct vent kerosene heaters. Kerosene is #1 Fuel oil or stove oil.
