I have a 1997 Pontiac Trans Am. For some reason my defroster is fogging up my windows. The defroster blows hot air and the heater works but the windows fog up so bad I have to pull over to clean off the windows to see. Driving with the windows down does not help either. Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue.

In the last year I have had the radiator, all the hoses and heater core flushed and or replaced.

I do have the sickly sweet smell inside the car. Looks like it's a new heater core for me. Thank you all for the help.

If there is a sickly sweet odor affiliated with the moisture you very well may have a leaking heater core. With the defogger on it is blowing a fine mist of coolant onto the windshield.

Turn the air conditioner on in the heater mode.Or try cold air that should help if you have no air.
