Yes, you can end the listing if you decide not to sell it, but you will still be charged the listing fees. I sold my PS2 (the slim version) w/ the controller and a memory card, for $80, they're really not worth that much, especially now. If you're really set on selling it for a certain price, you should do buy-it-now.

Hello.
To check how much they are selling for, click on your "Buy" tab and do a search for PlayStation 2. Then, next to the search box, click the link that reads, "Advanced Search". On that page, click the "Completed Listings Only" box. Then click Search.
This will take you to the completed listings for the last 30 days. Prices in red didn't sell, prices in green sold for that amount.
You can pull your listing at any time by going to this page: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?EndingMyAuction
and entering the auction number.
That's not a good habit to get into. And you won't really know how much it would have sold for, as you will get most of your bids in the last hour or so of the auction.
I would say your best bet is to use a reserve on your auction. The downfall of that is it will cost you more in listing fees. If you start the auction at 99 cents, and use gallery, it will cost you 55 cents (20 cents insertion fee & 35 cents gallery).
If you use reserve, it will base the fees on the reserve price. So if your reserve is $100, it will cost you $2.75 ($2.40 insertion fee & 35 cents gallery).
If you are worried about not getting enough, the extra $2 would be worth it to you not have to sell it for less than you want.
Hope this helps you. Good luck with your auction,
Robbie

You can look on ebay at the PlayStation's and see what they're selling for. There's also a way you can view completed listings to see what recent sales have sold for, although I'm not sure how you get there. You can list your item and cancel your listing as long as there are no bids. Once someone has bid, you can cancel his bid, but if they win, you MUST sell to them. You cannot refuse to sell once someone has won. As a seller, you have the right to cancel bids, but I don't think you can in the last 12 hours nor can you end the listing in the last 12 hours. Go to eBay and read the rules of selling. But, to answer your question, no you cannot decide not to sell it if someone wins. You can be reported as a non performing seller and can get kicked off ebay for that.

have a look at e-bay and watch a listing that matches what you are selling, people dont usually bid until the last minute so you need to add the similar item to your watch list and wait for the auction to end to get a good judgement of value.
I would reccomend if you do list your item that you let it end on a Sunday evening, that way your item is on the first page on the saturday and sunday which are the main days when people surf e-bay for items.
You can end your listing early at any time, there is a link to do this on your "my e-bay" but remember if you do end early you miss the last minute and main bidders and lose your listing fee

you could set a reserve price, if it doesnt meet that then you dont have to sell or set a "buy it now " price
UPDATE To ELLIES response: you cannot end your auction within less then 12 hrs of end time of auctoin
