I'm 39 weeks and some change- first time mommy, of course. And, of course, I have a bajillion things running through my mind. In particular, is it possible for my baby to be transverse/breech this far along in the pregnancy? She's yet to drop, and it feels like she's laying sideways. Then again, I don't really know how to tell. I feel little movements in all four quadrants of my abdomen, so that's no help. I'm sure I'm just worrying about nothing, especially since my midwife said nothing about it when she was searching for the baby's heartbeat at my last checkup (two days ago). Then again, I didn't ask either. Is there an easy way for me to be able to tell whether or not my little girl is breech?

It sounds like she is the right way around from what you are saying. And the midwife would of told you if it were otherwise. Please do remember that she can turn in the delivery suite so ~ dont worry so! Just enjoy these last few days with your little girl like this~ i remember feeling lonley after my babies were born!
Good luck hun! we are thinking of you!

I used to be within the identical role. My youngster used to be entire breech, my choices had been to take a look at a variation, which doesnt continuously paintings, is painful and there is not any gurantee that the youngster wont turn again round and my different alternative used to be for a c-segment. I in my view opted for the c-segment. I desired the least quantity of strain on my youngster as feasible and I desired to benefit from the the rest of the tip of my being pregnant. This used to be my 1st youngster. I shouldn't have any regrets! I used to be 27 on the time I had her, matters went excellent, and I recovered very very good. I could do all of it once more in a heartbeat! And I'll choose repeat c-sections at some point. I in my view didnt see the factor in seeking to do all of the different matters which might very good emerge as with me having an emergency c-segment and me being knocked out. So we scheduled it, the day got here, I used to be cozy, after which I heard the phrases that "I see a butt, oh my goodness it is a lady butt" LOL we didnt uncover out what we had been having, so it used to be a individual revel in. But that is YOUR option, YOUR selection do what you consider is proper for you... I'm simply sharing my revel in. BEST WISHES!

Please just talk to your baby, tell her that you love her and will be soo happy to meet her. Tell her these things she can hear you ask her to get into position to be born into the world, that you are so excited to see her.

I don't believe that your midwife would not mention a breech if it existed. Stop worrying unless they say there is a reason to. When you get your sensations that the most beautiful girl in the world is comming into the world stay calm and breathe deeply. Picture the oxygen going to where you need it most - your womb. When you get afraid the most oxygen transfers to the hands and legs to support your instinct to run with fear. When you are having a baby close your eyes and envision this baby coming out of you over and over again. Visualize the joy you will be bringing into the world soon!

Please stay away from all the stories, let this be your own experience, when people start telling you the stories that seem negative ask them to kindly stop. You want this to be YOUR experience, no one else's. You will know when your labour sensations start and you would need to focus your energies within your body to birth your most beautiful baby!
So don't worry anymore.

Good luck and God bless.

It's possible that she is, but wouldn't be a problem - she still has time to get into position so she's ready for birth. And even if she's breech when you go into labor, should still be OK.

It's very common for moms to be, especially first time ones, to worry about all sorts of things. And if it weren't for unltrasounds, some days you could swear there must be triplets in there to do all that moving around, and other times you're poking your stomach because they baby hasn't moved in the last five minutes and you're worried (she's probably just asleep). Anyway, try to relax.... and good luck for everything to go well for you. Enjoy that new baby when she arrives.

If you are planning to have a birth at home with a mid wife. Not a good idea... I think this is your first baby. Sometimes they do come out butt first. That is why your at the hospital with your doctor... If an emergency operation has to be done to remove the baby from the abdomin. They are there to save your life as well at the baby.. If you do not have a doctor after 39 weeks -- better find one...

sounds like baby is in the right position since you feel movement in quadrants in the abdomen. My baby feels sideways to but my ultrasound showed he was in the proper position to be delivered. You probably have nothing to worry about because you midwife could feel if baby wasn't in the right position.

Good Luck & Congrats!

I'm sure if your midwife didn't say anyting that s/he is in head down position. You could always ring and ask to make you feel better. Good luck
