those that are taxed into the poverty level taxes hurt them the most make them not be able to buy gas for their car or food should get tax relief . some people are taxed and then need public assistance. cut taxes for them

The Republicans are the people that removed taxes on people considered poor. They got that in the 80s.

Exactly how many people are employed by poor persons? The effects of giving tax breaks to the rich, is not confined to the rich, it stimulates economic growth, which helps the entire economy. Allows businesses and individuals to save more, spend more, hire more. Everyone benefits from a vibrant economy, from the top down, do you hear something trickling? It's not about who you give the money to directly, it's about the overall effect of distributing that money. The rich are not evil, they're necessary because they're the employers. Which "Republicans" are you referring to? Dem's have control of both houses of congress, and have done nothing what so ever about taxes.
On the other hand, President Bush proposed and got through congress tax and child credits.
