I think it's cool. Actually...I really like it. I have never heard of someone named Christmas but if your a hardcore Christmas fan like me it totally goes. One thing though, if you have your baby in any other month than December...forget it...
I know someone named Comfort...strange but it's an idea...

I've come across the name Christmas before in a couple of books. I also remember a girl named Easter Sunday, and understand the motivation behind such names. Events in Jesus' life--and Jesus himself--are of primal importance to parents who give such names. Personally I wouldn't name someone after an occasion or event, important or not, partly because I come from a culture that does not. There are cultures that do that.

I love that name. Of coarse I was born around Christmas and it's my favorite holiday. I think it would be great for a baby born around then. Just like the name Tuesday. I also knew a girl once named Secret. I thought that was weird. I guess to each his own.

LOL Definitely not! But I have heard plenty of the stereotypically corny "holiday" names, such as Holly Noelle, Winter Snow and, yes, Mary Christmas. Talk about gag-worthy! Those girls have to wear those names year-round, after all! ;)

That was Chrissy Snow's name on "Three's Company", that old sitcom from the 70's. Christmas Snow. A nice name for a horse, but not a child.
Names are not jokes. I believe in sticking to normal names that the other kids won't laugh at.

That's so rediculous, Christmas?! I guess the nicknames wouldn't sound bad though. I've heard much worse names. My teacher read my class an article about someone who wanted to name their son "4real". They wern't aloud having numerals in the name so they called him "superman". Isn't that crazy?
I don't know how parents can do that to their children. It's so terrible!

Christmas was the name of the Bond girl in "The World is Not Enough". It brought along a whole host of dirty puns. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you want your child to get picked on - especially with the fact that it's religious in nature and people get too easily offended.

Even if I truly loved the name Christmas, I wouldn't put my poor child through that.
