We will definitely be bombing Iran soon, its only a matter of which Commander in Chief will be the one making the call. Besides, as much as I respect General Powell, he is no longer privy to the intelligence the global community has. The US knew about the Iran situation in the beginning of the 90s, so its been on the global radar for quite some time.

That cowboy with his itchy trigger finger is liable to do anything. Powell is a smart man. People should heed what he says. Too bad he got mixed up with Dubya a few years back he might have been a good choice for President or Vice President.

Trigger happy Bush doesn't care what anyone says. Even if the Iranians cave.
However I do believe that it is no one's interest that the Iranians posses WMD. Not even the Iranians. If they are developing Nuclear weapons "I hope they aren't", then maybe it is not very wise to intimidate Trigger Happy Iranians who happen to have nukes.
The real question is "who comes after Iran, and after that, and after that...." Will the madness ever end
God Save our souls

Gosh... the US was able to put 'em together in less than three years between 1942 and 1945, using 1930s technology and starting from scratch. I'm no nuclear scientist, but I don't see why any modern, technologically-savvy, and well-financed state needs ten years or more now.

The UN report has it at 7 years or less. Russia or China could even give Iran nukes just to protect their oil supply.

It shows that Powell is still upset for being used by Bush to start a lie-based war in Iraq. He apparently isn't going to keep silent this time around.
