Out here in my part of the country, there are a lot of Christmas tree farms where you go to pick out your own tree. You can either have someone cut it down for you or you can cut it down yourself. There are turkey farms too, but I've never seen any that are U-kill basis where you can wander around the turkey field, and spot one that you would like to decorate for Thanksgiving, "I'll take that one over there!" >click, click, Ka-boom< .

I don't even like turkey, but no--if I had to kill anything to eat it I'd become a vegetarian.
