Okay I used to be a die hard Yankees fan who sort of gave up on this team due to their stupidity in signing in my opinion guys who are bums such as A-Rod and Jason Giambi. Anyway even though I've started rooting for teams such as the New York Mets and Cleveland Indians, and Colorado Rockies and a couple of other teams there's a part of me deep in my heart that roots for the Yankees to succeed although I have a hard time rooting for them due to the players that they have added over the years. In my mind guys like A-Rod, Giambi, Matsui, and a few others aren't true Yankees such as Paul O'Neill, and Donny Baseball, and Scott Brosius and Tino Martinez, and Jim Leyritz, and Jeter, and Bernie, and Mo Rivera, and the rest of the guys. So would that still mena that I am a Yankees fan at heart perhaps a disgruntled fan? What's your take on the situation? Would I be welcomed back if I were to be a Yankees fan again through all the stupidity or am I a disgrace?

Once a Yankees fan, always a Yankees fan. The same mentality that attracted you to the Yankees in the first place will always cause you to feel a sense of amiability at their mention. As far as Giambi and A-Rod being bums, I used to feel the same way. But these guys aren’t as bad as I used to think. Giambi is pretty crude, so I still don’t like him that much, but at least he had the courage to admit to using steroids and apologized for it. And A-Rod—he’s strong enough to take all of the crap he got from the Yankees fans in 2006 and at the end of the day, he’s the most talented and one of the hardest working baseball players in MLB. Besides, if he’s a friend of Jeter, he must be a pretty decent guy. It sounds to me like you are a huge fan of baseball. It’s alright to like several teams and lots of different players. In the postseason, I rooted for the Indians and the Rockies once the Yanks were out of it. I love to watch good baseball, and I greatly admire any good baseball player who loves the game and plays hard. I’ve chosen to be a die hard Yankees fan, though, and Jeter is to blame for my decision. I like Jeter for the same reason you and most true baseball fans like him. He’s a class act and consistently excellent baseball player. He will ALWAYS be my favorite baseball player. He’s a Yankee through and through--has been since he was a kid in Michigan and will be until the day he dies. So, to answer your question, I think once a Yankees fan, always a Yankees fan. There may be problems in the Yankee Universe, but any true baseball fan will always be welcome. There's just something about those pinstripes...
P.S. Who says true Mets fans can't like the Yankees and vice versa? Wright and Reyes are huge fans of A-Rod and Jeter. In fact, they "hope to be like" their AL counterparts someday, but say they have a "long way to go."
P.P.S. As long as you never root against the Yankees, you can still be a Yankees fan. Since you secretly hope for their success, I think you're good. : )

Well.... I'm A Mets Fan. Some people who are answering this question might give me a thumbs now. But I have a perfect explanation that will teach you about liking other teams or maybe even not liking people on your team! Since I'm A DIE HARD Mets Fan you think that I should like every player right? Well I don't, there are those people that I love on the Mets and those people who I boo. Like this... David Wright i cheer but Aaron Heilman I boo because he is bad. Just because you don't like players doesn't mean that you don't like the yankees! If the Mets got A-Rod or Jason Steriod Giambi I would have gone crazy. I might of starting liking other teams because I didn't like their choices. But I would still want to see them win. So you still want to see the yankees win but you like other teams too. Thats really normal, people do stuff like that all the time. You really are a Yankees fan deep down. Actually you don't even like them that deep, you enjoy when they win and so your a yankees fan! Not a DIE HARD yankees fan. But you are a yankees fan. So if this story (long answer) helped you. Well then GREAT! I hope you get what I was talking about. Because some people might but I hope and think you will get this story!

SOO YOUR A YANKEES FAN!

I'm nonetheless sour approximately the 2006 NLCS misplaced and I'm lol'd at Adam Wainwright as he was once getting smacked round together with his buddy Carlos Beltran within the outfield watching on. I'll additionally regularly dislike the Marlins for being spoilers in 2007 and 2008. Hope Reyes enjoys strolling to the financial institution as a loser (now not within the unhealthy existence means on account that he is making the money, within the literal means considering that how unhealthy the Marlins are). I can not reply on account that I'm now not a Yankees fan, however I would not become bored if the Mets construct a dynasty and win yr after yr.

dude your being to hard on yourself. ou would not be a disgrace at all. at least not im my opinion. I am sure many yankee fans wouldn't call you a die-hard anymore though. i would definetly say you are still a Yankee fan at heart. now heres a real test for yourself: when the Yankees and the Mets play each other in a subway series who do you cheer for? if you choose yankees than you know the answer to your own question. you can still be a yankees fan and root for teams like the Indians, and the Rockies. or you can like individual players.

The only excuse for EVER rooting for the Mets is if they are playing the Los Angeles Dodgers (because of the crime they committed against Brooklyn 50 years ago), or if they are playing Barry Bonds' team (I don't think we have to worry about that anymore). In the 1986 World Series, I rooted for the Red Sox, because a true Yankee Fan hates the Mets more.

Then again, I may have to reassess that... no, as long as Pedro the Punk is on the Mets, I don't root for them. Unless they're playing L.A. Even with Joe Torre as their manager.

you seem to be more of a baseball fan then a yankee fan, you mentioned a number of teams you like, so that tells me you are a fan of the game. as being being welcomed back to the yankee family, i think you should forget it. you only seem to like the team when home grown players are around, and you dont like trades or free agents. my advice to you is to ask the yankees for forgiveness and see what they say, its really up to them.

I think to know for sure you would have to have your temperature taken anally like all Yankee fans do.
Ask $C-NOTE$ he Will be glad to administer it. I hear that's what he does when he's not ranting about how jealous he is about yet another RED SOX championship.
