I need to know what size I would be. I'm 5'3 and 120 lbs. Is a 58 too long? I've been up several times and am pretty comfortable on a board, but am tired of renting. Also, what's a good board for me in either Burton or K2? Or are there others? PLEASE help. Thanks!

"58" is the shortened version of the length: 158cm. Yes, that would be way too long for you. I ride a 158 and I am 5'11" 190lbs.

For size, a general rule is between your chin and nose, but that is just a general rule if you are height / weight proportionate. More correctly, it depends on your weight and what kind of riding you are going to do.

My favorites boards are K2 and Ride. Burton is also a good brand but they are usually very expensive and most don't believe they are any better than other top boards. A guess for your height and weight (not knowing where you ride) would be a 143cm board - maybe a little longer if you are not going to be riding in the park.

Good Luck

Burton snowboards are way better. they may be more expensive but the quality of K2 boards is bad. my friends and i have had K2 and Burton boards and the K2 snowboards just wear out easier.

58 is way too long for you... try like 51 or so... i prefer K2 over Burton but there are tons of different brands to choose from... check out www.tightboards.com www.the-house.com and www.dogfunk.com and just browse around for a board you like.
