It's possible, but most girls have discharge for at least a year (sometimes even 2) before they get their period. Just carry a pad in your purse--just in case. it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Your body is developing and maturing ... And as your body
is doing this ... you will notice various changes. For example
the discharge that you are currently experiencing is probably
one of those changes.
It is hard to say (exactly) when you will get your first period ... But it sounds like your body is "preparing" for that event.
Don't be afraid to talk to your Mom or to an adult female that you trust .... What you are experiencing is most likely normal;
however, because some of the changes will be "strange" or
"new" ... you "may" have questions. And you (ALSO) NEED
INFORMATION. For example .... your discharge is MOST LIKELY normal ... BUT you need to know what to look for
in case you develop a vaginal infection .... those types of
discharges are usually accompanied with an odor .... But,
I would not want YOU or your friends to make a diagnosis on
your own .... So, again ..... talk to your Mom .... ask her for
some books ... or maybe the two of you can go on-line together.
By the way .... You might want to consider wearing a panty-liner for your discharge. And I would certainly suggest that you start to carry a pad in your book bag ... At your age, you
should be "prepared" that your first period "could" come at
any time!
Congratulations and Best Wishes!
PS Don't pay ANY attention to those that say that your question was "dumb" .... or that the discharge is "gross."
Your body is going through NORMAL changing and development ... and you are a young person looking for
answers ... Don't ever be afraid to ASK questions .... Just
make sure that you are asking the RIGHT people! (That's way I suggested talking to your Mom or an ADULT female
that YOU TRUST!

I had tons of discharge for over a year before my period.
and i thought i had a disease cause i was unaware of what dischare ever was :]
so i was freaking out for a year. ha.
anyways, i know that i was always wanting my period, i have no idea why now that i look back, but i did.
NO RUSH! its horrible, and disgusting, i hate it, i'd love to go back to the day when i never had that problem.
it could be as soon as tommorow, and as long as a couple years.
good luck.
