is 7.6 for a PH acceptable for a black knife fish?

and will my knife fish be ok in a tank with a sword tail and a pictus catfish

The pH is fine, the main thing with pH is not really the number, but keeping it steady. So the 7.6 is fine, but you need to make sure that it stays there, that is what is going to keep your fish happy and healthy. As far as the pictus and sword tail, not to sure, I know that the knife fish are a predatory fish so would be worried about anything in the tank smaller than it is.
