go get your hair done, and wear something new and fancy.
thats what id do. then id go out some place where id get checked out a lot. that always makes me feel better when a guy looks at me. (as bad as that may sound its true for a lot of people)

The absolute BEST way to do it is to take some form of martial arts. We have lots of kids teens and even adults on our school that are there for that very reason. It dosn't happen over night but it does happen for real. You can take any kind really, but some like Karate and Hopkido are more physically
violent and some people with little self confidence have aproblem getting into them. Our school teaches Taekwondo
(traditional style - not "American or Olympic style", you won't like those for the same reasons as karate. (And as far as I am
concerned, they have little artistic value, and require little self control, which ironically is where your confidence comes from). the more control you have over your body and mind, the more control you will have over your emotions, and from that comes self confidence.
Like I said, it won't happen over night, but in a good tradiitonal
style martial arts school you will suddenly discover that you have more self confidence almost weekly - certainly monthly.
Be brave and go for, you won't be sorry, I promise.

Do it with song and believing yourself. List of song can be : I believe I can fly by R. Kelly True Colours by Cindy Lauper This is my Life by Shirley Bassey Beautiful by Christina Aguilera Or read books about self motivation. Train yourself to be confident all the time, practice it a lot. Try to act silly in public places, if you don´t care of what people seeing or thinking of you, then you already have self confidence you need.

Ok, seriously.....I got a book called "The Four Agreements" by Miguel Ruiz that changed my life. My self confidence has improved so much as a result. Love yourself and be happy, even with the small things.

Look for a model (someone who is confident) and learn from them. What is it they do that makes them confident, how do they act?
Focus on your achievements and even if you failed try to work out what you did right and how you could succeed next time
Act as if you were confident!
Prepare thoroughly for any task so that you can be sure you are ready
Work on any skills you need to do what you want, you can never be overtrained or over skilled for any challenge in life.
Learn relaxation skills
Always smile
Set reachable goals for yourself
Reward yourself when you succeed

Well, I experienced a lot of dissapointments in my life in the past, which made me today a stronger "emotionally" person to accept my traits and virtues.
