Has anyone seen the movie August Rush? I saw it today i thought it was a great movie i just wish it would have ended diffrently.
What is your opinion?

Yes, I got to see it at the advance screening on Saturday and was able to get free tickets on line which was a plus :). It was an amazing movie. I thought JRM did a great job singing ... the main purpose for me to go see it was because I am a huge fan of Chris Trapper, the singer/songwriter who wrote "This Time" (the song from the trailer and shown in 2 important scenes of the movie) ... that was my main motivation but seeing the trailer, the movie just looked amazing ... I was very pleased. I was also glad to see that the theatre where I saw it (near Charlotte NC) was quite packed; not quite sold out but close. It was a great inspirational movie {and I liked that there were some "I didn't expect that to happen" parts too} and I will definitely be seeing it again and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.
And if you don't have the soundtrack, go get it ... it is definitely worth getting ... you can remember points from the movie in the instrumental parts and it will make you smile :)

I thought that movie was one of the best I'd seen in a long time. I think the ending was a little weird, but I can see how the movie producers wanted to show how the music brought them all together. I was just hoping for a kiss! haha. But the music in the movie was incredible. For me personally, music is my passion, so I was so driven by the music in the film. I think the movie has a great theme and a great message about following your dreams. Robin Williams does a great job, I think, even though this role was a far cry away from his usual "funny guy" role. All the actor/actresses did a great job in the movie. I really liked the little black girl (I can't remember her name) and I thought she had a wonderful voice.
Basically, this is now on my favorite movie list.

I loved the ending. A little cheesy, but sometimes we need that, (=. I thought Robin Williams did a wonderful job, he creeped me out, I'd hate to be Evan! The cast was phenominal! Johnathan Rhys Meyers has a great voice, Keri Russel is beutiful and Freedie Highmore is adorable. I saw the movie last night and bawled, I'm a softie. I'm going to see it again today!
On a side note, Robin Williams looked like Bono but with red hair! Twilight Zone moment...

I just saw it today, and I agree with you that for as great as the movie was the ending kinda sucked. I expected there to be a little more after that. I still plan on buying it when it comes out on dvd.

August Rush was incredible.
I loved the ending 'cuz Freddie Highmore is sooo adorable.

I absolutely fell in love with the music and I want the soundtrack so badly!!!!

well i loved the movie.. but i agree, i wish the ending could have been differant.. not even that just more.. i wanted to see them all get together
but, if you think about.. it is the best way to leave a movie because then you can make an ending up yourslef

Yea the Ending kinda sucked! i like the idea everone found one another Robin Williams kinda bad guy! possesive! I would have liked a group hug at end at least!!!I like Freddie Highmore! an outstanding actor...

I was able to see it Saturday for free through FilmMetro.com and it was absolutely amazing! One of my all-time favorites, and I'm dying to see it tomorrow, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!
I love Freddie so <3
But I love the whole movie
