IVE BEEN SNOWBOARDING A COUPLE OF TIMES NOW AND WILL BE GOING ON ANOTHER TRIP IN JAN. BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT THE SIZES MEAN IN SNOW BOARDING. EVERY TIME IVE BEEN I JUST RENTED. BUT THIS TIME I WANT TO GET MY OWN, WILL SOME ONE HELP?

For size, a general rule is between your chin and nose, but that is just a general rule if you are height / weight proportionate. More correctly, it depends on your weight and what kind of riding you are going to do.

Check out the sizing charts on the Nitro site. They go by height and weight. I recommend the Mystique for learning, it is forgiving, but still allows you to turn easily. I could see a dramatic difference in turning when I got this board. It has held up really well and I highly recommend the brand. You can get last years model very reasonably.

the board should be between your nose and chin when you stand it up in front of you. width shouldnt really matter unless you have a really big foot
