They neither impress me nor do they scare me.
I am very much of the same opinion of that good looking blonde guy, that it is better to err on the side of caution and treat them all with mistrust; for the number of bad and corrupt ones appears to exceed the good.
I don't think you have to be particularly intelligent to be a policeman or even an officer. This is not just the situation here in Egypt it is much the same worldwide.
The uniforms and badges may be a bit different, but in every country the police force seems to be full of corruption and people whose psychological makeup should disbar them from having any form of contact with the public let alone authority over them..
The one good thing about the police in Australia is their motorbike cops, some of those guys look sooo good in their leather pants and jackets.
It is such a shame we don't have such attractive sights to gaze at here in Egypt. It almost makes me homesick.
No not really, but some are darn pretty cute!

I know your opinion ya amar, but I'll be honest and tell you mine. I know it's wrong to generalize and that every profession has the good and the bad. Having said that, I hate to say that in general police in Egypt are greatly disliked by the people, feared, and not trusted. I personally don't like them at all even though I'm sure there good people among them. All the news you read in papers every day about the torture and abuse and false accusations ... it far exceeds the good like police who die in the line of duty defending other peoples' lives. It may only be me, but I have to say a big no when it comes to them.
