I was just wondering how far along I would have to be for my baby to be born safely before full term. I will be full term in 11 weeks (37 weeks) but if something were to happen before then how many weeks would I have to be for my baby to be ok?

The longer you keep it in there, the better the odds are that it will be healthy. There's no guarantee at any time, but if you make it to 32 weeks the odds of survival are very good.

I think 25 weeks is when more than half survive, but almost all babies born this early have serious problems.

well now the docs are even sometimes nervous to deliver @ 37 weeks especially if its a boy but when I was pregnant my doc always gave me a hug @ 32 weeks because that to her was the safe zone where if the baby was born then yes it would have to be in the hospital for a while but would probably be ok but nobody wants that good luck

I had my son at 35 weeks and he was healthy. He weighed 4lbs 15.6oz & was 17 inches long. He stayed in the hospital the same amount as i did which was three days cause i had a c-section. There was nothing at all wrong with him.

However when i was 33 weeks with him i went into labor and they were going to let me have him if the amnio came back showing that his lungs were matured which they were not. (I had pre-eclampsia)

Stop stressing mommy and relax more, your baby will be fine.
babys can be born from 24 weeks on wards but it is the individual baby that determines how sick or well it would progress if born premmy.

Babies can survive with intensive care as early as 22 weeks, although that is rare. They have a better chance at 30 weeks or later.

All the best to you!

this will possibly no longer answer your question, as you already seem to have lots of solutions yet for the record, I dont think of you're a tramp. issues like that do take place. that's unlucky whilst it leads to a being pregnant however the youngster itself would be a blessing. Im no longer a tramp or whore, Im having my first new child with my boyfriend whom i admire very lots and am truthful to him besides the incontrovertible fact that I surely have in the previous slept with 2 adult men in an in depth quantity of time and if I have been to are starting to be pregnant from it, I wouldnt have known who the daddy could have been the two. each and every from time to time issues take place. it relatively is the way it relatively is. And any of the folk at here who're being self righteous are kidding themselves in the event that they think of that they are greater efficient or are calling you names to belittle you. sturdy success with the paternity and your new toddler. yet as quite suggestion, i could wait to have the paternity attempt until eventually after the toddler is born. maximum DNA checks that are achieved with the youngster in utero may be doubtlessly risky to the toddler and reason you to miscarry. purely be truthful with the two adult men and attempt to stick it out. sturdy success returned.

It depends on all the conditions. Personally, I think if you want an answer to your question, you should see a doctor instead of asking any old person.
