Ezra was a partner of Nehemiah in rebuilding the city of Jerusalem, the Temple and the lives of the people who returned there after it fell to Babylon in the 5th century B.C. He was male. For me Ezra would be a good name for a boy, not too common.
I like Ezra Jacob Valenti. It has a very poetic ring to it, and the three names are all good names.
You may want to check out the meanings of those names on the internet or in babys' names books. I won't take the joy of doing that from you. Name-giving is an important part of parenting, part of the shaping of your child's future by declaring your hopes and expectations of the child through the meaning of his/her name.

EZRA
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Biblical, English, Jewish
Means "help" in Hebrew. Ezra was a prophet of the Old Testament and the author of the Book of Ezra. The American poet Ezra Pound was a famous bearer of this name.
My mechanic's name is Ezra...sounds more masculine to me. Never heard of a female with that name.
JACOB
Gender: Masculine
From the Latin Jacobus, which was from the Greek ÎακÏÎ²Î¿Ï (Iakobos), which was from the Hebrew name ×Ö·×¢Ö²×§Ö¹× (Ya'aqov). In the Old Testament, Jacob (later called Israel) is the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel, and his name is explained as meaning "holder of the heel" or "supplanter". Other theories claim that it is in fact derived from a hypothetical name like ×ַעֲקֹ×Ö°×Öµ× (Ya'aqov'el) meaning "may God protect".
Check the biblical background on Jacob, I believe God changed his name to Israel, because as Jacob he was a deceiver.

Ezra is a handsome, unexpected choice. I love it. ;)
And I seriously doubt a little boy with a Biblical name -- a la Jacob, Ethan, Noah, Jonah, Jadon, etc. LOL -- will be teased. After all, little "Braylon" and "Nevaeh" will likely be taking the brunt of it. ;) Seriously, with the current trend toward created or completely misspelled names, I find it hard to believe a child with a real, properly-spelled moniker will catch much flak!

First, find out if Ezra was a desirable character in the Bible. I presume you have already done that. Personally, I like the name, and it sounds like it could someday be the name of a high achiever in life. Yeah, he may get teased some by younger kids, so you will have to be strong and supportive.

Bible names are actually very popular now, and Ezra is one we considered for a middle name for our son, since all our kids have "E" middle names.

It's ok. I like the idea of the biblical name. However, I like Jacob better. Possibly you could switch the first and middle names? Good luck!

I love the name Micah. It's what I'm naming my son. It's biblical and I think quite unique.
