Because they want to cover up the way it really went down with the Indian's.
No Thanksgiving about them getting their land taken away and killed.
f.y.i Indian's DON"T celebrate this so called Holiday.......only Anglo-Americans do!
I don't celebrate I just eat because I'm thankful every day of my life when I wake up!

Huh? Don't you go to school? After the first year the Pilgrims from England settled in New England (you never heard of Plymouth Rock ?), and most survived, they harvested food from their farms, asked the Indians to join them for a feast. That was over 400 years ago. They were giving thanks for the bountiful food , and thanking the Indians for helping.

i think it's because we are proud of ourselves for wiping out the indians with the pox, and because we are trying to fatten ourselves up for the winter.
