By way of explanation for those who need it -
7 girls x 7 bags = 49 bags
49 bags x 7 big cats each = 343 big cats
343 big cats x 4 legs each = 1372 big cat legs
343 big cats x 7 kittens = 2401 kittens
2401 kittens x 4 legs = 9604 kitten legs
7 girls x 2 legs = 14 kids legs
1372 big cat legs + 9604 kitten legs + 14 girls legs = 10990 legs.
If there is also a driver there would be 10992 legs.

Each person includes two legs. Seven girls times two legs equals the total of fourteen legs. Bags don't have any legs. Each cat has four legs, or catpaws. Seven cats times four catpaws equals the total of twenty-eight catpaws. Add the human legs and the catpaws. Now you have a total of thrity-five. Each cat has seven kittens. Each kitten has four catpaws, again. 7 x 4 = 28. Then, another. 7 x 4 = 28. 28 + 28 = 56. Since you already know that each time you do the last two steps I did, just keep on adding 28 five more times. 56 + 28 = 74. (That's 3 times, 4 more left.) 74 + 28 = 92. (That's 4 times, 3 more left.) 92 + 28 + 28 = 148. (That's 6 times, 1 more left.) 148 + 28 = 176. Your answer is 176.

Now three things you should note: If you only include LEGS and not CATPAWS, the answer is 14.
If there is a bus driver, the answer is 16. If CATPAWS are considered legs AND there is a bus driver = 10,992.
And the Bus itself has NO legs.
