County recorder's or tax assessor's office.

You can google the tax assessor's website for that city or state and if you have the address you can enter that information, it will tell you just about everything you want to know about the property in question. From what it last sold for to who and what the yearly taxes are. Hope this helps:-)

ok, you can find out but why does it matter? Personally I have enough trouble keeping track of my own finances without worrying about anyone else's

You could also call a realtor. We get notices from them all the time letting us know what homes in our area have sold for. (To get us thinking about what we could get for ours if we listed with them, I imagine.) Just give them the address, and they can look it up for you.
