I was thinking the idea of the wooden flowers were a great idea. Wood and flowers something she likes. Get her a nice vase to put them in. Could be wood as well. Get the year put on the bottom, so forty years down the road she has it to look back on and say yes this is what he did on our fifth. This is something that is reasonable if you don't have much money.
If money is not a problem, then going on a holiday would be great. If you go somewhere tropical buy her a nice wooden box, or vase. Let her help you pick it out, or a surprise. They have nice tropical wooden boxes and such. Wood is the typical fifth.
Another thing I just seen on a web page is a tree. If you have plans of staying in your house for a long time. Or a bonzi tree...
Good luck.. She is luck to have you.
Well good luck. Your wife is one lucky woman.

The traditional gift for 5 years is wood. I always wished my husband would have followed the traditional gifts.. It's also nice if it's engraved in some way with date so in the coming years she can always remember why and when you gave it to her. They have some wooden roses and also lots of boxes and serving pieces. Or you could just get her a simple frame. If you own your home you could plant her favorite tree for her. Wood is an easy one, so just get a little creative and I'm sure she'll love it.

You sound like the kind of couple that would enjoy a trip together for an anniversary. Try finding a place that you know she would love and go together. Make the whole weekend about her. Beats jewelry if you ask me. Happy Anniversary.

Traditionally wood is given on the 5th so perhaps a grandfather clock or something tasteful like that-however they have modernized the list and say that silverware is the gift for the 5th-it depends on you , your wife and your tastes -a nice weekend away is always a pleasure!

If you have no children and can afford to do so... a nice trip away. Maybe back to the honeymoon location.
Or anniversary bans always work, and they are a beautiful accessory to the wedding band.
