It's Futurama. The cartoon is drawn by the Simpsons' creator Matt Groening.
The character who got sent into time is Fry. He just wants to go back to our time - he fell into a time machine trying to deliver a pizza. Not the brightest spoon in the cutlery drawer.
The robot that can't help being bad is Bender. He's a lovable guy.
