There is a great book out called "Because They Hate" by Bridgette Gabriel about radical islam, it is a warning well worth reading.

First, try getting your information from someplace other than the Internet, too much of what's online is pure BS.
That said, there's a number of good books on Islam that show the differences between the radicals and the rest. As a result anyone who wants too, can be educated.
The problem is that a large number of people don't want to know facts, or the truth about the threat posed by radical Islam. Such knowledge requires that one support efforts to oppose the threat, and that's a lot harder than pretending that it will go away if we do nothing.
This isn't new, we saw the same wishful thinking regarding Nazism in the thirties, and Communism during the cold war. The most deluded of the later still believe that Communism just died of it's own accord, without the west forcing it to collapse.
The fight against radical Islam will be the same. Those with the knowledge and intelligence to see the threat will work to oppose it. Those who replace reality with ignorance and wishful thinking will continue to decry those efforts as unnecessary or even harmful.

The problem is that this isn't a specific country.
These people who resort to this level of hatred are not the spokesman for all of the Muslim religion.
They are criminals and have to be dealt with as criminals.
They're like the mob on steroids!
That's why over the last 4 or 5 years police work has stopped terrorist attacks before they were carried out!
EDIT: I also believe that if the U.S. had shown respect of the countries of the Middle East for the past 60 years with our foreign policies we would also not be dealing with such a widespread hatred towards the audacity of American financial interests in these countries!
They can see our government and business leaders for what they are and that in the end they are going to be screwed in the gloablization efforts of the Elite of the world.
I don't condone their efforts but I do understand the cause of it! Some people don't just sit back and take it. Americans need to remember and/or educate themselves on the ruthlessness of some Americans in our own history!

Sure, it is an issue but we can not go around living our lives in fear and paranoia, that is not good for the mind. We just need to protect our country by closing the borders, tightening security at airports even more and having better security in crowded places. You cannot fight an idea or a religion that people are following, because that would be as hard as trying to get you to change your religion and ideas. You are not going to change how you feel. All we can do is teach the next generation of children that they can practice Islam but killing people is not okay but the fact that the Islamic extremists are already teaching their kids we are evil, we are just adding to their anger and fueling this idea by killing their family members. They think their family members are doing the right thing by killing us because we kill them. It only adds to the violence the Islamic extremists are teaching their kids. We are putting more fuel on the fire, and we are likely to make the next generation worse than this one because of what we are doing. They see us destroying their homes and country and people they know being killed. We need to show them that we are peaceful, not so they can live just like us but so they can see that we are worth listening to. Once we can show these kids that, we should not try to convert them, but just teach them to stop the violence. This is so very important because once they are adults their mindset will never change. We need to reach out to these kids, this is the way to stop the violence. I am afraid that it is too late though, for this generation of kids because they already hate us.

I trust you. The Noble Quran extraordinarily mentions that people who're no longer Muslims which incorporate Jews, Christians or Sabians, among others, have no longer something to concern in the event that they stick to their respective religions. that's their deeds that rely. So, in accordance to the controlling record (the Quran), one does not might desire to be a Muslim to pass to heaven. it is definitely consistent with the relationship with the human beings of the e book and the concept that he's maximum Merciful and merely. the way you lead your lifestyles is what would be sure who is going the place. Edit @ Stargirl93: The Quran Sura 2:sixty two says: people who have self assurance in God and people who stick to the Jewish scriptures, and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who have self assurance in Allah and the final Day, and artwork righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them would be no concern, nor shall they grieve.

Why qualify it with the word "radical" - Islam IS radical. Read the Koran and the Hadiths. The notion that it's just a bunch of "anti-Islamic Christian websites" who foster the idea that Mohammad was a mass-murderer and the Koran and Hadiths say that Muslims should follow in that path is hooey - I highly doubt that the Muslims who think that that's what Islam is about get their ideas from far-right Christian websites!

Insane religious cults have been around for a long time, so have wacky hate filled crusaders. Different sides of the same coin.
Anybody who compares the weak jihadists to the Nazis has gone loco. They share fascist ideologies, but the similarity ends there. Hitler was a military juggernaut while Jihadists are lunatics who bomb children on buses. They have zero military might. They can inflict damage, but they have no ability to hold any territory.

Radical religion is always a threat to freedom and democracy. We are better at reigning in radicals here in the west. We should definitely support efforts to reign in fundies in the East as well. Studying history is a good way to learn about the dangers of radical religion.

Hey...where were you 20 years ago when Al Queda declared war on the West?
You're a lot of years too late. But, yes. I think education is a fine thing. Only if there is actually education involved. You know, like a well-balanced parental mindset... without all the chest-beating, saber-rattling, and fear-mongering.

Those that doubt that Islam is a threat might want to ask the young Suadi Arabian women in the story below
http://edition.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/11/20/saudi.rape.victim/index.html
She's a Muslim and I bet she has real ?'s about the validity of Sharia law and Islam in it's extreme form
This kind of justice coming to a town near you- if the Islamo freaks have their way.
But let's just close our eyes maybe it'll just go away

I think its a better idea to educate the people about the dangers of facism and what happened in Germany during the 1930s and 1940s. Then compare this so-called "Islamic threat" of today to the so-called "Jewish problem" back then. ANd see how facism creates enemies who are not really enemies but need to beperceived as something to be feared in order for a few to control the mass population.
