the ideologies of christianity, and concepts such as HELL and SIN, are used to instill fear and feelings of worthlessness into people......this is used in order to control & enslave them.

no preacher could ever tell every physique that they're going to hell. that selection and judgement is reserved for God and God on my own. the sole element a preacher could do is help handbook his parishioners to stay a existence which he believes is maximum installation to God's expectancies. No guy can condemn yet another to hell.

Hell is a personal place, in which no one can know what it looks like for the other person. Denial of what you know in your own heart to be right is the quickest way to go there. It is a place designed for you, by you. Preachers can be wrong, but the part of you the knows right from wrong without anyone having to say anything is the real judge, jury, and sentencer. Because that's the part that is connected to God. The best part of hell is it doesn't have to wait until you die. It can start the minute you know in your heart you erred. The only redemption from that IS grace. But if you don't believe in grace, there is NO redemption. Think on that...

If what you say is correct, that hell is nonsense/there is no hell, then obviously the preacher won't be going there if it doesn't exist.

How is that getting a person to stop believing? In my church, I'm a Catholic, we practice Confession. As long as you are truly sorry for what you've done and made amends with God, whatever you have done in the past doesn't matter in the afterlife. So you can't really tell a person he's going to Hell, he could repent.

stop believing in what?
go to hell for expressing what he really thinks is the truth,?
if you really believe someone will be tortured for eternity, and you know a way to prevent it, would you warn them?
I'm not a real believer in hell other then the hell people put themselves or each other in, but I have to have some respect for the fanatic.
If I thought everyone was doomed to hellfire unless I could convince them of my beliefs, I care about people, so I would never shut up until my dying breath.

Preachers aren't supposed to tell people they're going to hell. If they are then they aren't very good preachers.
