Some before, and some after, I think. We still have Christmas stockings in our family....and we usually open those first thing....the presents under the tree wait until later in the day.

Santa doesn't wrap gifts at my house he leaves them out. We play with those for a while then have a big breakfast. After that we open the wrapped presents from each other.

My husband & I get up real early & open our presents, then go to his family's for breakfast and more presents, then go to my family's for lunch and more presents. We come home about dark, exhausted but full!
