I don't know about a coat but a good jacket will do. If you are coming from a colder climate this will seem warm to you. When the sun comes up it gets warm and a coat will be too much. Even at night it usually doesn't get real cold until 4 or 5 in the morning.

its warm during the day but chilly at night. i would take a coat for the nights. wish i was going with you. i have never had a bad time in Vegas.
