What defines "nostalgia" for those who are currently in their twenties and early thirties? What are the warm and fuzzy memories for this genre?

I'm 21 and 15 weeks pregnant and I know I'm 100% ready for my little miracle to come. I don't think age Is a huge issue, I think it's more the maturity level and moral bearings a parent to be might have. I was pregnant when I was 17 and had a miscarriage at 14 weeks. At the time I was devastated, I thought I was ready to be a mummmy. I realise now I was no where near as mature as I am now back then, I would not have been ready for a child or the reaponsibilty it brings! I am now :)

TGIF on ABC, early to mid 90's musicians, tinker toys, Commador 64 (an "ancient" computer we had as a kid) and the games we played on it, Atari, little collectable trolls I had with different colored hair...that's all I can think of right now.
In response to last answer...I think 1-year-olds live in the present more than the past. I wouldn't think they'd have a sense of nostalgia.

It has got to be what made them happy in their late teens. Music, friends and good times. Once a person gets older those things are hard to come by. No time for music is one example. That is why when certain "old" song is played it brings you back to the good ol' days.
I wonder what a one year old thinks is nostalgic?

Certain memories of being utterly peaceful...and loved.
Sitting by the lake under the stars talking all night with a friend is one of them. Warm fuzzies!

Nirvana and grunge music. Although I do not like it as much now it was something that defined the early 90's. The birth of hip hop. MTV began.
