He has already hinted that he will back...why should he retire...I would have said two years ago that he should have but not now...as long as he goes out a winner...that's the important thing...but to be honest the guy will always be a winner with me...and I'm a Pats Fan....

No, why would he? Green Bay has done an outstanding job of building a young, talented team around him, and they can probably compete at a high level for at least a couple more seasons with this core. One of the few holes in Brett Favre's resume is a lack of consistent post-season success (26 INTs in 20 games, a mediocre 11-9 record), and this would be a chance to climb into Montana and Unitas territory.

Favre's playoff performances since Holmgren left: 2-5 record, 16 INTs. Surely a competitor like Favre would want a chance to win a few more rings, yes?

If Green Bay makes it to the Superbowl and wins he will. It would be the perfect end to a talented, unforgettable career. But, if they don't make it he will be back for another season. Brett Farve still has a few years left and is still one of the top Qbs in the league. He would be the MVP canidate if it wasn't for Tom Brady! I mean... look at Vinny hes 43 and still out there. Brett is the man and has been since the day he went to Green Bay. Keep it up #4...

Let me say what I have been saying since ESPN made a big deal out of the first time they thought he would retire. Brett is still under contract. If he has a contract, I am going to assume he will play unless he says otherwise. This season has shown me that he made a wise choice coming back. There are still 6 games left and plus possible playoffs. A lot can happen, but I think if he is healthy and still has a contract, I think he will be back.

Nope, Favre will be playing until he's 55. I love the Packers for life.

If Green Bay goes onto to win the SB then maybe. But the chances on that happening are slim so he may play another year.

No. Even if they win the Super Bowl, he will play at least one more year. He is still the best in the business - why retire?

Gotta think not, he's having a great weason and might have a chance at another super bowl appearence.

I can't see why he should either, he's a top 5 QB in the NFL.

I dont think he will. He should keep playing because he has some weapons to throw to now and they are going to make the playoffs and i would love to see him in the superbowl again. He is a tough competitor and a joy to watch.
