Getting married is scarier because it has the potential to be the biggest mistake of your life

Getting divorced is not scary at all...I'd welcome freedom with open arms!

I think it is scarier to get married (at least the first time). When you get married you are entering into something that while you may feel confident in it you know your whole life is going to change. That no matter what you do it is at least going to effect one person. When you get divorced you have already been single once in your life so it has to have some type of comfort level like going back to a place you haven't been to in a while. That is just my opinion though.

I think marriage and divorce are both equally as scary as one another.
Marriage is scary because it's an entire commitment, you're devoting yourself to one person and are supposed to be fully faithful to that person for better or for worse for the rest of your life, which makes it scary because you know you love the person but you start having doubts if you're really ready for such a major commitment.
And then, Divorce is scary because it's like you've been through so much, you married this person because you loved them and now you watch as everything falls apart and sometimes you go through the divorce alone and it takes time for your heart to heal from the pain of the previous marriage that didn't work out. It can also scar you for future relationships you may pursue because you may end up having trust issues or be afraid of love because your marriage didn't work out before.

Getting married brings lots of joy because at point you are doing for love. Getting divorce is scarier because you are loosing someone you have love, plus all the pain divorce can being along. Take it from there.

Well marriage is scary but it's a good scary. Divorce has no positives what so ever. So Divorce is much more scarier.

Marriage should be the scarier part, because you are not to get a divorce. It is to be until death do you part! Divorce should not be an option!

I think male.con wrote some VERY WISE words...... I totally agree. I'm scared to death of marriage and would never go through that........ and that way I'll save myself a divorce as well. I think that when things don't work anymore and love isn't there you should be more scared to stay -- and continue wasting your time and life with someone who doesn't make you happy anymore -- than to leave..... freedom is most precious. I'd love to get it again......... instead of losing it (with marriage). JMO.
