My next question is;
- Do you mean to say that synthetic essential oils would have be safer in the sense that they do not contain ketones? As i understand it, ketones are toxic & occurs in natural essentials oils only.
- Why is sage high in ketones but not toxic?

There are plenty of ketones that are not toxic. In fact, fructose is a ketone.

If you have a pure substance, it does not matter whether it is natural or synthetic. However, things like essential oils are usually complicated mixtures, and the naturally occurring oils may contain more things whose effects have not been fully investigated.
